AVID Dance presents...Boundless: Where Ballet's Future Takes Flight
Join us for an unforgettable evening as Artistic Ventures in Dance, the bold new company founded by Emily Speed, showcases ART that MOVES. The performance will feature a dynamic blend of classical and contemporary works by some of today’s most exciting choreographers, as well as a tribute to the legacy of American dance.
The evening will include world-premiere commissioned work by choreographer Cherice Barton, with a captivating new score by composer Anne-Marie Keane. AVID will present an expanded version of Quinn Wharton's crowd favorite, "Impluse", and to honor of the rich history of classical dance, Gerald Arpino's iconic "Confetti"—a timeless work that continues to inspire generations of dancers. Additionally, Alexa Rose Foundation awardee Daniel Ojeda will stage his acclaimed work, "Persona". Rounding out the evening will be live music from Ensemble Mycelium.
The evening promises a fresh and thought-provoking experience—one that showcases ballet through a modern lens.
