Description
To celebrate the publication of a powerful new essay collection from Gallery Books, My Moment: 106 Women on Fighting for Themselves, principal contributors Kathy Najimy, Chely Wright, and Lauren Blitzer host an evening of readings, music, and intimate conversation.
My Moment collects 106 women's responses to “What was the moment in your life when you realized you were ready to fight for yourself?” Common themes emerged around racism, coming out, body shaming, sexism, motherhood, activism, sobriety, and more.
This evening celebrates these stories with performances by several of the book's contributors, including music from Allison Russell, readings by Stephanie Hopson, Janelle Murren, Kathy Najimy, and Gloria Steinem, and a lively and insightful discussion with Brooke Baldwin, Rabia Chaudry, Jennifer Esposito, Shakina Nayfack, and Anna Gifty Opoku-Agyeman.
Due to unforeseen circumstances Kristin Chenoweth will not be appearing at this event.
Special thanks to principal contributor Linda Perry, who is unable to participate in this event.
This program will contain sensitive content as we explore the experiences of girls and women around the globe.

“The diversity of voices is the greatest strength of this profoundly personal book… The message of hope and courage they offer to all women is a powerful tonic to contemporary anti-feminism… Uplifting reading for anyone, regardless of gender identity.” --Kirkus Reviews
