Rhythm & Word

Terracotta is a spoken word poet, singer song writer from Atlanta, Georgia. She will be hosting a night of R&B and Poetry aptly named Rhythm and Word. The night will feature renditions of R&B favorites, monologue reading, and original spoken word poetry. Terracotta aims to transform a sleepy bar on the upper west side into an lively intimate urban happening that is sure to leave a lasting impression on all that attend.

Featuring internationally recognized, Russian born guitarist Ilya Lushtak has years of experience performing and recording with the greats of jazz including Hank Jones, Barry Harris, Jimmy Cobb, Cedar Walton, Mel Rhyne, Louis Hayes, Mickey Roker, Charles Earland, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Jimmy Lovelace, and countless others. Behind the scenes however, he has made a living also playing gospel and R&B.
