Inspired by this year’s commissioned work (Muted Gestures by Inessa Zaretsky), this season we present works of dramatic scope and emotional impact. From the ebullience of Schumann’s Piano Quintet in the opening concert to Shostakovich’s harrowing Piano Trio in the season finale, this season’s arc is driven by impassioned music.

Arbor Music Series

Arbor expands the traditional chamber music repertoire through annual commissions of new music. Through these commissioned pieces, salons, concerts, and cultural activities, Arbor invites audiences and artists to explore connections between new and old, and between language and music.
