A musical tribute to commemorate the centennial of this iconic Mexican singer.
Remolino Entertainment presents, Cien Años, An homage to Pedro Infante. This musical tribute will celebrate the 100th birthday of a man who's voice and charisma captivated Latin America throughout his illustrious career.
An icon from the Golden Age of Mexican Cinema, Pedro Infante acted in 60 films and recorded more than 350 songs. His timeless voice gave us classic interpretations of Mexican folk music and made him a ubiquitous symbol of 20th century Mexican popular culture. To honor this 100th year since his birth, a variety of artists will perform his most beloved selections on November 18th at Peter Norton Symphony Space in New York City.
Featured artists will include, actor Bruno Bichir, Banda Nueva York, an authentic sinaloense banda comprising NYC's top broadway, jazz and classical musicians, conducted by the raising orchestra director Felipe Tristán, the Mariachi Real de Mexico of Ramón Ponce, pianist Michiyo Morikawa, and the Ballet Folklórico Mexicano of NY, accompanying selected singers, Sishel Claverie, Juan Del Bosco, Gilberto Ortega and José Adán Pérez, a graduate of Plácido Domingo's opera program. The music arrangements will be contributed by Latin Grammy Award winners, Julio Lizarraga & Manuel Cazares, the choreographies by Javier Arcadia, under the creative direction of Oscar García Osuna.
