“A quietly enthralling film. There is a deep morality at work here.” –Roger Ebert
2007. USA/UK. Paul Schrader. 108 min. Color. Woody Harrelson, Lauren Bacall, Lily Tomlin, Willem Dafoe.
Openly gay Carter Page III (Harrelson) often escorts middle-aged Washington, D.C. wives to high-society events their husbands can't attend. But when the lover of one of his women friends is killed, Page is drawn into a tangled murder investigation. To protect his friend's reputation, he claims to have found the body—involving himself in a crime that may have been politically motivated.
Join us at 6pm on Sunday, September 21 for a discussion and Q&A with director Paul Schrader and Symphony Space’s Curator of Film Programs, Fabiano Canosa, before the screening of The Walker at 6:45.
