NY Lyric Opera Theatre presents Rigoletto
Set in the 16th Century in and around Mantua. Rigoletto, born with a humpback, becomes a court jester. Although he is welcomed at court, he is not viewed as being an equal because of his deformity. In secret, he married a woman, who died giving birth to his daughter Gilda. He has hidden Gilda away, fearing that if she is found, the court would try to do her harm. See More... |
