At 10 am, the day begins with a proclamation from the mayor's office and then a provocative panel discussion featuring John Duffy, Linda Walton, and Jovino Santos Neto, led by Laura Kaminsky and Tania León. then, from noon to 6 pm, a cornucopia of premieres and recent works. Performers include Son Sonara and Talea Ensembles; iO and Cassatt Quartets; flutists Tara Helen O'Connor and Alice Jones; and guest narrator Isaiah Sheffer, among others.
